    Title

Hyperbolic manifolds of dimension higher than 3

    Abstract

Hyperbolic geometry plays a fundamental role in differential topology in dimension 2 and 3, thanks to the geometrisation theorems of Koebe-Poincaré and Thurston-Perelman. In dimension n>=4, the picture is much less clear: there are plenty of hyperbolic manifolds, but studying their topology is considerably harder. In this talk we will introduce the subject and focus on some recent developments.
